New Era For The Kitschy Ghoul

Greetings Ghouls!

First I'd like to give my full-hearted thanks, I am grateful for all the support throughout the years, especially during my recent absence/hiatus. I am so happy to be back, I could not have made it this far without the support of this beloved spooky community. Thank you!

Next, I will have a pretty decent batch of bags that will be dropping on Sunday June 14th at 10am MST (9 am PST, 11am CST, 12pm EST) so don't forget to mark those calendars!
You can peep a full preview over on my Patreon page for the full roster of bags. And speaking of Patreon...

Patreon News

Membership tiers have drastically changed;
I paused subscriptions back in January 2026 as I dealt with personal life, but later in February it was with great disappointment that I made the announcement that I was discontinuing the tiered art bundle rewards indefinitely. I could no longer feasibly take on the workload, and so I asked all my subscribers to make sure they cancel their reoccurring subs to the attached benefit tier, as I could no longer fulfill the physical rewards aspect.

With that, I also made the decision to unlock and make available nearly all the content to the Free Tier, to ensure my supporters could still access all the extra videos and behind the scenes footage available over there.
There are new and updated paid tiers, available to those who would still like to support me and the extra work and videos I create! Contributions are the pillars which directly support these endeavors, but they no longer come with any other tangible benefit except my endless gratitude (and a shout out/credit at the end of public videos posted to my YouTube channel)

The member shop is now closed, and all the inventory I have leftover (extra stickers, pins, and prints) will be slowly transitioned over to my my Ko-Fi Art Shop, where from now on any and all product of this type will head into, and available for anyone to purchase individually-- including all the other non-patreon related stickers I offered on this site.

The Future of The Kitschy Ghoul Shop

I know this section sounds ominous, but I assure you I am not closing down!
With my recent personal life stuff (primarily dealing with my health), I have found myself in need of slowing things down in order to cope with the changes, and mostly to cultivate a lifestyle that doesn't put me right back where I was, struggling mentally and physically.
That means a few things, aside from the above changes I've made to other sites:

Smaller Products (jewelry, decor, etc)
Many of the made to order products I had as ongoing listings will no longer be offered. Instead, I will restock them as ready to ship and only as time allows for me to craft a batch to list. That does create scarcity, as things will not be as readily available as they were, but again I would like to create a more sustainable workload moving forward.

The Ghoul List (Wait List)
The Ghoul List will continue to be paused of receiving new submissions, additionally I have removed the page on my website to help quell the amount of inquiries I receive looking to join.
In the coming days, an email will be sent to current clients awaiting on the list; this will be to once again verify emails and desire to stay (since I have been absent a significant time), as I resume working down the number of folks that remain.

I have no idea yet as of writing this, if or when The Ghoul List will resume for new clients. The way it functions now is not sustainable, and will definitely need to change in the future. But for now, I am committed to fulfilling the request of all who remain on the list, and that is as far as I have been able to plan out.

Shopify Website & The True Future Ahead

With all the changes I am making in slowing things down, I need to begin a transition from Shopify to a new smaller platform to host my shop on. Although Shopify is great and offers many tools, it is primarily a platform for high production shops, and their subscription model reflects that.
While I would love and dream of my shop growing into a bonafide small business, instead of just a sole artist (myself) ran endeavor, along with the occasional but rare help from my partner, the truth is that I can no longer keep up with the cost of doing business this way. I am unable to do what it takes for growth to occur in a manner that aligns with both my ethos and my finances.
So I am niching my business even further down, and in August I will be switching my web shop platform to a new one.
Many of the commerce tools I have loved using, such as this news section will be gone, future ways of invoicing for The Ghoul List will also change, among other such things.
The transition should hopefully be seamless, that you are simply redirected to the new website from the URL once it all occurs.
But for now until then, things will stay relatively the same as I work on all the back end stuff.

I don't fully know what the future looks like, but I hope (like many artists before me) to continue to do what I love doing in whatever capacity I can: making and offering my art to the world.

Thank you for reading!
With kindest and spookiest regards,

Mari
